I’m
a horrible man and did not deserve anything, but they asked.
I
didn’t stop myself.
I
thought it wouldn’t be granted. It didn’t matter.
I
could not face her.
There
she was. Looking at me.
Contempt.
Pain. Hate. Nothing.
I
deserved it. It won’t last long. I’m glad.
The
noose tightened around my neck.

Yes you deserve to be hanged because you do not know what you have asked for. Read this to understand the implications of what you have asked for - http://parthasadhukhan.wordpress.com/2014/07/24/to-the-hangtherapist-campaigners/
ReplyDeleteHi Partha you have been dropping the links of your blogs I guess on every blog you visit.

DeletePartha I read your blog and I found your arguments very "amusing"
DeletePartha, While I'm definitely not in the "HangTheRapist" bandwagon, I cannot promote your arguments as they seemed radical to me. My story is about the absurdity of the punishment, and not a judgement on the act
DeleteMglani - I am not promoting my link, I am only trying to caution everyone who wants to hangTherapists without knowing the consequences what they are asking for. My arguments are not radical these are real and the way the law and criminal process has become radical today (...and none of you definitely have no idea abt these but still ask for radical punishment) w/o knowing tomorrow you will be a victim and no one will be there to help you..
DeleteAlso if anyone of you think my idea is radical please show that on my blog. SImply by saying my blog is radical will not make it radical..
DeleteThe fact that your arguments do not consider all the scenarios and use only those that support your theory is what made me feel they are radical.
DeleteStop promoting your link. Seriously!!! Don't push your awkward thinking and funny post on everybody.
DeleteRepentance ...hmmm..seldom found in reality... even in the Delhi rape case the victims claimed that they were innocent ..
ReplyDeleteI liked the story anyway...precise... :-)
Exactly.
DeleteAlong with repentance, this is also about the absurdity of the punishment which denies the person any chance of redemption. It's a No-Win situation. And I don't think many women want their rapists to be hanged and live with that for the rest of their life. This is more about the middlemen (read: activists) rather than the victims or the convicts
Deletesorry...**convicts...
ReplyDeleteNicely written, precise.
ReplyDeleteThanks :)
DeleteI liked what you have written.
ReplyDeleteBut the fact is that every rapist would like to walk the path of redemption if he knows that he can walk free even after raping a girl. Don't you think?
The path of redemption is not so easy to the one who has a conscience.
DeleteVery matter-of-fact and had a very Camus-esque touch to it.
ReplyDeleteThanks. I intended it to be matter-of-fact. Camus comparison was unfair to the great man :)
DeleteConcise and apt take on the prompt :) Nicely written.
